Track Team Attachments in Jira Issues

Link files to Jira tickets

The Microsoft SharePoint integration for Jira smooths out complex team communication by quickly linking files to Jira issues. You won’t have to search for the most recent version of your file, everything remains up to date as you link files to issues. Traditional attachment concerns like file size capacity are equally eliminated inside the integration. Plus, all linked files use access controls from SharePoint permissions!

Download files from Jira issues

Reduce unwanted human errors that extend downtime and support team actions by accessing essential files and folders inside Jira issues. The SharePoint integration provides the most updated file version, saving you time and hassle from switching back and forth between multiple tools to confirm version editions. SharePoint for Jira works with popular file formats like .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, and more.

FAQ

What is the difference between SharePoint and OneDrive?

SharePoint and OneDrive are based on the same Microsoft file storage systems. SharePoint is designed for teams while OneDrive is meant for personal storage. Both integrations are supported by Connectors for Jira.

Do you support SharePoint groups or sites?

When linking a new file, users can filter for their personal, shared and recent files. Some of those files can be part of a SharePoint group or site. There is no way to filter for files of a SharePoint group or site directly.

If you need more ways to filter you files, let us know!

Where are my linked files and folders stored?

Your Microsoft files remain in SharePoint / OneDrive. Connectors for Jira only stores a link between your files and folders and your Jira issues.

If I unlink a file or folder from a Jira issue, will it also delete it from SharePoint?

No. Unlinking a file or folder from your Jira issue will only remove the link created by the app. The Microsoft SharePoint file or folder will remain untouched.

Can everybody see my linked files and folders in my issue?

Access to linked files and folders follows the permissions established in Microsoft SharePoint. If your teammate can't see the file in their SharePoint, they won’t see it in the issue.

Where is the integration’s data stored?

Links are stored in issue properties. See the Stored Data section of our Security Statement page for more information.
